Clancy Trains Lecturers in Mumbai, India 

Clancy Peiris, a Director and a Senior Lecturer at Wisdom Business Academy, conducted a very successful Train the Trainer (TTT) training workshops in Mumbai, India on February 5^th and 6^th, 2007 on invitation by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK., for NMIMS and GNIMS, two prestigious universities in India. In August last year he trained the faculty of Dun & Bradstreet Information Services India (Pvt) Ltd, on invitation by CIMA India.  

This TTT workshop was attended by highly qualified faculty members of the respective universities, including doctorate holders. NMIMS and GNIMS have taken CIMA on board as the latest product in their portfolio of studies. This workshop was one of several key activities organised by CIMA UK to make CIMA the most popular management accounting qualification in India. There are 10, 000 CIMA registered students and 1, 700 members in Sri Lanka, compared with 82, 000 students and 62, 000 members worldwide. CIMA is the most preferred business qualification of majority of employers in many countries, including the UK and Sri Lanka, and its members are employed in 156 countries worldwide.    

The two day TTT workshop conducted by Clancy covered areas such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and effective communication, understanding how our mind works to aid effective learning, Mind Mapping as a tool for creative thinking and effective teaching technique, evaluation of linear note taking and note making against Radiant Thinking. These modern management topics created very high level of hype, enthusiasm and motivation amongst the participants. Further, it was intended to create awareness of CIMA and CIMA Tuition and thus participants were educated on operational aspects of CIMA curriculum, its course delivery and examinations. 

Clancy is a legal consultant in the field of commercial law and specializes in intellectual property law and e-commerce law. Since 1995, he has been lecturing Economics, Law, Organisational Behaviour and Project Management for CIMA, CIM and Degree Programmes. His exposure business covers wide span of fields including finance, operations management, imports/exports and professional education in leading organizations in Sri Lanka.  

Clancy is a Director and a Senior Lecturer at Wisdom Business Academy, which is the second largest tuition provider in the world for CIMA UK. He is a sought after resource personnel and speaker by leading commercial establishments both locally and internationally and is the only Sri Lankan to be invited by CIMA UK to conduct Train the Trainer sessions overseas.
