A founder member and a director of WISDOM BUSINESS ACADEMY, Mallik is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka as well as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. His exposure in the mercantile sector is diverse, where he has held senior managerial positions in several multinational organisations such as Reckitt Benckister, British American Tobacco Plc, Tax Consultant to Ernst and Young (Chartered Accountants) and currently he serves as the Group Finance Manager at Richard Peiris and Company PLC.

He counts over 15 years of lecturing experience in CIMA. Mallik also specialises in training Non Financial Managers in improving their financial skills, where he has gained local as well as overseas exposure. He has designed and re-launched the CIMA Sri Lanka Division's "Finance for Non Finance Managers" programme in 2006 which was a tremendous success. Further Mallik has conducted several CIMA revision programmes at CIMA Sri Lanka as well as CIMA India division and also have produced above average pass rates with prize winners for Financial Analysis / Financial Management.
He held the position as a member of the CIMA BOD in Sri Lanka and served as a council member prior to that..
