Channa is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka as well as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He has a solid strategy related background possessing a First Class degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Further he has an MBA majoring in Finance from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Channa is performing as a consultant for strategy formulation and implementation for medium sized organizations, specialize in developing risk management systems. He has 14 years of lecturing experience.
